Set up Alexa Voice Assistant on your Brilliant

Setting up Alexa Voice Assistant

During Installation

When you configure Brilliant for the first time, you will be taken through an onboarding flow to (1) enable the Voice Assistant and (2) enable the Alexa smart home skill to control your lights with Alexa.

After Installation

If you didn't log in to Alexa initially, you can configure Alexa at any time by visiting Settings > Works with Brilliant > Amazon Alexa.

On the screen, tap "Log in to Amazon" to set up Amazon Voice Services on the Brilliant Control so that you can ask for news, weather, and more.

Once this is set up, you can set up the Brilliant Home Alexa Skill to allow you to easily control the lights through voice commands, which can be found.

After tapping on the "Login To Amazon" button, you will see an experience similar to the below screen. Please follow the steps on the screen to complete the login process.

Brilliant will attempt to then auto-enable your Home Skill with the same credentials you used for the Voice Assistant.

Manually setting up the Brilliant Home Skill

If the attempt to auto-enable the Brilliant Home Skill fails, you will need to manually set it up using the Alexa Mobile App.

Follow the instructions below to do so:
