Unit Reconfiguration Issue Alerts

What is a "Unit Reconfiguration Issue" Alert?

Unit Reconfiguration Issue alerts are provided to notify when one or more Brilliant devices in a unit are taking longer than expected to reconfigure during a Unit Reconfiguration following a move in or move out.

In particular, Unit Reconfiguration Issues are triggered if the unit reconfiguration process has not completed 30 minutes after being initiated. Normally, a unit reconfiguration should only take between 5-10 minutes.

How do Unit Reconfiguration Issue Alerts work?

    • A banner will be displayed on the page that shows the details for a specific unit.

  4. Unit Reconfiguration Issue Notification (if enabled)
    • A Unit Reconfiguration Issue notification will be sent via email and/or text to all Admins of your Brilliant Command Center organization that have this type of notification enabled.

How do I resolve a Unit Reconfiguration Issue Alert?

If a unit has an active Unit Reconfiguration Issue alert, one of the below issues may be occurring:

The Brilliant Control(s) in the unit were offline when the Unit Reconfiguration began.

In this case, the following may be causing this issue:

  • The wrong Backup WiFi Network is set for the unit on the Brilliant Command Center. To resolve this issue:
    1. First, set the correct Backup WiFi network for the unit on the Brilliant Command Center.
    2. After completing step 1, manually connect the unit's Brilliant Control(s) to the correct Backup WiFi network by going to Settings > Connectivity.

  • There is an issue with the unit's Backup WiFi Network (such as a network outage). To resolve this issue:
    1. Resolve the issue with the unit's Backup WiFi Network.
    2. Once the Backup WiFi Network is working properly, the unit's Brilliant Control(s) will automatically connect and resume the Unit Reconfiguration process.

    3. After the unit's Brilliant Controls have finished reconfiguring, set the correct Backup WiFi network for the unit on the Brilliant Command Center.
