For all Brilliant manufactured devices:
- If you have any old Brilliant devices that are no longer active, the deletion of these Brilliant devices and their associated lights/fixtures can be done by following these instructions from the Brilliant Mobile app.
For all integrated (third party) devices
Advanced Device Settings
- "Hide" your Device: Use this if you have a device that you want to remove from your home and would like it to never appear again unless requested.
- Reset Device Settings: Use this if you want to reset the settings on the device and have it re-appear the next time you attempt to discover it or when Brilliant runs auto-discovery of third-party devices.
- Reset your Device Name: Reset your device name to the original name from the manufacturer's app. See more here.
"Hide" your Device
Please use this feature if you have a device that you want to remove from your home and would like it to never appear again unless requested.
This is available on the Brilliant Control AND on the Mobile App.
Note: Sonos devices cannot be hidden as this causes issues with Grouping/Ungrouping speakers and their display.
Hide a device from the Device List
- Visit the room your device is in.
- Tap on the pencil icon in the top right.
- Tap on the "trash" icon next to the device and confirm you would like to remove the device from your Home
Hide a device from Device Settings
- Visit the room your device is in.
- Tap on the pencil icon in the top right.
- Tap on the pencil icon to enter Device Settings
- Under Device Settings, you will see a section that says "Hide Device"
- Tap on "Hide Device" and confirm you would like to remove the device from your home.
Access and re-discover Hidden Devices
You can rediscover Removed Devices from two locations:
- When you go through the Add Device Flow (Rooms--> [Select Room] --> Add Devices), you will see a tab for "Hidden" devices where you can re-add devices as you choose.
- If you visit Settings --> Works with Brilliant --> [Select Integration] --> View Hidden Devices, you will see a list of removed devices for that integration.
