What is an IQ and IQ Code?
The Salto KS IQ is the central hub for Salto KS devices. The IQ Code is a 5-character encrypted code that is unique and only known and shared between your Salto KS app and IQ.
The following instructions show you how to access your IQ Code which will be used to authorize Brilliant to connect to your Salto KS locks:
- Go to your Salto KS app
- Tap "IQs" on the bottom tray
- Tap the IQ that is associated with the Salto KS lock you would like to add to Brilliant
- Tap "Get Code"
- Observe IQ Code and enter the code on Brilliant
- NOTE: The IQ code is only valid for 3 minutes so be sure to have both your Pin and IQ code ready when authorizing Brilliant to control your Salto KS locks.
What is the Salto KS Pin?
The Salto KS Pin is a 4-digit code that you created when you first setup your Salto KS account. The pin is unique to your account and is used to take specific actions in the Salto KS app. If you forgot your pin, please go to Salto KS Support for more information on how to recover your pin.
The Salto KS Pin will be used to authorize Brilliant to control your Salto KS locks.
Why does Brilliant require the IQ Code and Salto KS Pin?
Both the IQ Code and Salto KS Pin are required to connect your Salto KS locks to Brilliant.
Once you have selected Salto KS to add a device to your Brilliant Control, it will prompt you to select an IQ to connect. Use your IQ Code and Salto KS Pin to authorize Brilliant to control the Salto KS locks associated with that specific IQ. If you have more than 1 IQ, you will need to authorize each IQ individually to access all your locks on Brilliant.
If your Salto KS lock status changes to "Attention Needed", it means that your Salto KS and Brilliant Control are out-of-sync. You will need to authorize Brilliant to control your locks once again by entering your Salto KS IQ Code and Pin.
