Sonos Connected Products Settings Authorization

Starting July 8, 2025, Sonos introduced “Connection Security” options in Privacy & Security settings in the Sonos app. Customers will have the option to require authentication from 3rd party control devices and apps when interacting with Sonos products. Changing this setting to Require Authentication will prevent your Brilliant devices and mobile app from being able to control Sonos. We recommend keeping the default setting to “off” or you will be required to re-link your Sonos account by logging in as the Sonos System Manager.

Brilliant users can re-link their Sonos account on their Control settings > Works With > Sonos > Device Settings > scroll down > Re-Link Integration

This will trigger an email sent to the user's email requesting they will need to login to their Sonos account as the System Manager and this will authenticate all Brilliant devices associated with this Brilliant home and Sonos account.
