Brilliant Max is a subscription that makes your smart home easier to automate, easier to support, and safer when you are away. It turns a home full of individual devices into one that runs itself.
What you get
- Modes: advanced, personalized automations that run in the background. At launch this includes Away Mode and Vacation Mode, with more Modes added over time.
- Premium Support: Brilliant support agents who can fix many issues remotely, plus a faster response commitment and a dedicated support contact.
- A free Shelly sensor: a free door/window sensor for new subscribers, plus the option to add Shelly motion and door/window sensors to your home.
- Faceplate Upgrade Program: for an additional fee, annual subscribers with First Generation Controls can upgrade to Second Generation faceplates for better connectivity and speed.
Pricing
- $9.99 per month, or $99.99 per year, per home.
- The subscription is tied to your Home, so every member of that Home can use Brilliant Max.
- New subscribers get a 30-day free trial. A credit card is required up front, and the trial converts to paid automatically unless you cancel.
Starting and managing your plan
You can start Brilliant Max from the Brilliant app or a Brilliant Control. You can switch between monthly and annual, update your payment method, or cancel at any time. See "Starting your free trial and managing your subscription."
If you cancel, your Modes keep working through the end of your current paid period, then turn off when the subscription does not renew.
Good to know
- Annual subscribers unlock the Faceplate Upgrade Program, a paid add-on (price shown when you order). Monthly subscribers do not.
