The Device Settings screen on the Brilliant mobile application displays the field Security Status.
If this field says "May Have Had Root SSH Enabled", this indicates Root SSH access may have been enabled on this Brilliant Control in the past. Due to technology limitations of the Brilliant Control, this message may also appear if you or a prior user have reset the Brilliant Control using Recovery Mode.
Root SSH access allows experienced users to make changes to their Brilliant Controls and potentially alter the software on them. Once Root SSH is enabled, Brilliant cannot certify with complete certainty that a Brilliant Control's software has not been altered. Therefore, once Root SSH has been enabled on a Brilliant Control, this message will always appear on the Device Settings screen corresponding to that Brilliant Control going forward.
See the Root SSH support article for more information.
