How to connect your Ring Alarm Security Panel with Brilliant

Before you connect your Ring Home (Alarm) Security System: 

1. Make sure your Ring devices are set up and ready to use with the Ring mobile app. 
2. You will need a Ring Home subscription plan with your Ring Security Panel to arm/disarm your security system. 

Using the Brilliant mobile app to add your Ring Security System:

1. Tap the Settings icon in the top left corner of the homescreen.
2. Tap “Works With”.
3. Tap “Ring”.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to log into your Ring account.
5. A screen will pop up that says "Add New Devices".
6. When your Ring devices are found, tap "Continue".
7. Your Ring cameras, doorbells, and security panels associated with your Ring account will be discovered. 
8. Select the security panel(s) to add to your Brilliant home.
9. Assign the panel(s) to a room in your home. 

Using the Brilliant Control to add your Ring Security System: 

1. Tap the Settings icon in the top left corner of the homescreen.
2. Tap “Works With”.
3. Tap “Ring”.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions to log into your Ring account.
5. A screen will pop up that says "Add New Devices".
6. When your Ring devices are found, tap "Continue".
7. Your Ring Cameras, Doorbells, and Security Panels associated with your Ring account will be discovered. 
8. Select the security panel(s) to add to your Brilliant home.
9. Assign the panel(s) to a room in your home. 
10. If you would like to add an Armed State Widget to your Control lock screen, you will be prompted after adding your security panel. 

Ways to Arm or Disarm Ring Security System Using Brilliant

• Tap the Security Icon on the Navigation bar or the Security Shortcut on your Brilliant Control, Tap Away or Home to Arm your home. 

• To Disarm or switch arming from Home to Away or Away to Home, you will be prompted to enter your Ring security passcode.

• Using Scene Automation, you can add the security system to Arm Away or Arm Home, along with other scene automations like locking your doors or turning off lights. 
• NOTE: if you will be Disarming your security panel as a part of your scene, you will need to enter your Ring security pin.

Important Notes for the Ring Security Integration with Brilliant

• Ring door and window sensors are not discoverable or controllable using Brilliant Control or mobile app.
• To bypass sensors when arming your security panel, you must bypass using the Ring mobile app. 
• Ring DOES NOT work with any partner devices (including Brilliant) when End-to-End Encryption is turned on. If you have this enabled on your Ring device(s), the Brilliant <-->Ring Integration will not work.
• Doorbell notifications only work when the primary Ring account is linked to Brilliant. Shared accounts linked to Brilliant will only have access to Live View. 
• If arming or disarming your Ring security system from the Brilliant mobile app, Ring mobile app, or Ring security panel, you may experience a short delay in the status update of your home. Brilliant is actively working with Ring to keep the security status of your home as up-to-date as possible.
