For Pro Partners, Brilliant Max gives you recurring revenue on the homes you install. You can earn in two ways, and you can use both across different homes. You manage all of it in ProView.
First: the home must be in ProView
You only earn on homes in your ProView dashboard, so add each home to ProView to link it to you.
As a reminder, here is an overview on ProView.
Option 1: Homeowner subscribes, you earn 20%
- The homeowner upgrades to Brilliant Max on their own, and Brilliant manages the subscription with them.
- You earn 20% of that home's recurring subscription revenue for as long as it stays active.
- This is the default: any home in your ProView portfolio that upgrades is attributed to you.
Getting paid:
- Set up payouts through Stripe Connect Express in ProView (add your bank and business info). You need this connected to receive payouts.
- Payouts are disbursed monthly, and Stripe issues your 1099 automatically.
- Your ProView earnings dashboard shows attributed subscriptions, earnings, and past and upcoming payouts.
Option 2: Buy and resell (bundle)
- You buy Brilliant Max at the wholesale rate of $69.99/year per home (annual only, no free trial) and assign it to a home in ProView.
- You bundle it into your service offering (alongside monitoring, maintenance plans, and so on) and set your own price to the homeowner.
- In ProView, you can Enroll a Home in Brilliant Max, purchase the subscription though a checkout flow and pay with a credit card.
- Each home is its own yearly subscription, billed independently and renewing on its own activation date.
- The homeowner sees "Your Brilliant Max subscription is managed by [your business]" and does not manage billing themselves.
- In ProView, you can manage the subscriptions you have purchased for homes to cancel. Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled.
- Cancelled subscriptions won't renew at the end of the current period. There are no prorated refunds.
Home statuses in ProView
Each home shows a status: Not subscribed, Pro managed, Homeowner managed, or Trial. From ProView you can enroll a home in Brilliant Max, manage subscriptions, and manage payouts (a Manage billing option on the dashboard, and a per-home Manage subscription option).
Homes stay linked to you
Once a home is in your ProView, the homeowner cannot remove you from it, which protects your attribution and payouts. In the homeowner's app the home shows as "Installed by [your organization]" rather than listing individual installer accounts. Only you can remove a home from ProView.
